Rights, Equality and Citizenship Work Programme

The European Commission adopted the ’2017 Rights, Equality and Citizenship Work Programme’ on 1 March 2017. Through the program, the European Commission intends to develop the area of equality and international human rights in the European Union by supporting activities and actions developed by NGOs, grass-root organisations, universities, public authorities and other organisations in the field of personal data protection, EU citizenship rights and children rights, by combating forms of intolerance, promoting non-discrimination, gender equality and gender mainstreaming.

The available total budget for the 2014-2020 programming process is EUR 439.5 million. The studies, legislation monitoring, information campaigns or the exchange of practices will be financed as part of the funding. Proposals for operating and action grants will be published by the end of March 2017 on the Participant Portal.
